Check out reCAPTCHA, it's a great idea!

One of the greatest ideas I come across for a long time is reCAPTCHA, a free Web service of the Carnegie Mellon University that combines website spam protection with a book digitizing project. Now this is what I call innovation!

Firefox 3.1 Announces JavaScript "Turbo"

The Mozilla Foundation has announced that Firefox 3.1 will contain a special new JavaScript "Turbo" named "TraceMonkey": a new kind of JavaScript just-in-time (JIT) compiler, expected to speed up some core JavaScript functions by factors of 20 to 37.
